Antibacterial Food Wrap
In kitchens and other food-preparation areas, continuous hygiene control is essential to prevent bacteria from contaminating surfaces.
By incorporating an inorganic antibacterial agent, this product inhibits the growth of bacteria on the surface of the food wrap and provides a long-lasting antibacterial effect.
In addition to supporting food-hygiene management at food-processing facilities and restaurant kitchens, it is ideal for wrapping bento boxes, rice balls, sandwiches and other foods, helping improve hygiene when food is taken away or carried.
This is the first food-wrap product in Japan to receive HACCP International certification.
* No antibacterial effect should be expected for food that has already been contaminated with bacteria.
* Areas not in direct contact with the food wrap do not receive an antibacterial effect.
High Level of Safety Confirmed Through Multiple Tests
The antibacterial agent used in the Kitchenista Antibacterial Food Wrap series has passed the following four safety tests and has been confirmed to meet the safety standards of the Society of International Sustaining Growth for Antibacterial Articles (SIAA):
Acute oral toxicity test, primary skin irritation test, mutagenicity test and skin sensitization test

Certification
HACCP International Certified
HACCP International is an international certification body that scientifically evaluates non-food consumables, equipment and services used in the food industry from multiple food-safety perspectives to determine their suitability for, and compatibility with, HACCP systems. The Kitchenista Antibacterial Food Wrap series was evaluated on its raw materials, design specifications, manufacturing processes, safety in the event of accidental food contamination, instructions for use and labeling accuracy. It was certified as a safe product suitable for use at food-manufacturing and processing facilities that operate a HACCP food-safety management system. The series consequently became the first food-wrap product in Japan to receive HACCP International certification.
Antibacterial Performance
The SIAA mark is awarded on the basis of antibacterial performance evaluated using the ISO 22196 method. In accordance with SIAA guidelines, it may be displayed on products that are subject to quality control and transparent disclosure of product information.
